Hi Everyone,
Please let me welcome back all members to CCGA for the 2023 season. It has been a very long winter and I'm sure that most of you, like me, are anxious to be playing golf as soon as the weather permits.
During the off season, we gathered the ideas and concerns of our members in order to formulate plans and strategies to grow our membership and also to enhance the experience with more enjoyable moments.
In 2023, we've implemented an exciting change to the CCGA tournament schedule. Last year our tournaments were held on weekdays but this season we will be playing most tournaments on Sundays. The tournament format will remain the same although we will be playing alongside other leagues. This arrangement gives us some leverage to negotiate weekend green fees.
For 30 years, CCGA is one of the longest standing Chinese Golf Associations in the GTA. We are very happy and proud to see the establishment of various new Chinese Golf Clubs, and the subsequent development of golf skills and interactions among our Chinese golf community. In the coming September, we'll have an annual interleague tournament for each club's top players to hone their skills. It is my hope that we'll provide stiffer competition along with a better score this year.
The executive committee values your ongoing support of CCGA and welcomes your input. Please take the time to let us know your preference as this will provide us with guidance when deciding on CCGA activities.
Once again, many thanks to all our members, volunteers, executive committee, past presidents and sponsors, without your ongoing support and contributions, CCGA wouldn't have come this far, to see our 30th anniversary, and beyond.
